| Resumen: | El presente estudio tuvo como Objetivo determinar la actitud del personal de salud frente a la etapa terminal del paciente oncológico. Material y método: el estudio fue de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo, método descriptivo de corte transversal. Siendo una muestra de 33 conformada por el personal de salud que labora en el área en mención .La técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento una escala modificada tipo Likert. Resultados: en cuanto a la determinación de la actitud del personal de salud frente a la etapa terminal del paciente Oncológico del 100 por ciento (33) de encuestados, el 21.2 por ciento (7) tiene una actitud positiva, 60.2 por ciento (20) indiferente y el 18.2 por ciento (6) negativa; acerca de la identificación de la presencia del componente cognitivo en la actitud del personal de salud frente a la etapa terminal del paciente oncológico, el 63.6 por ciento (21) tiene una actitud positiva, 30.3 por ciento (10) indiferente y el 6.1 por ciento (2) negativa; acerca de la identificación de la presencia del componente afectivo en la actitud del personal de salud frente a la etapa terminal del paciente oncológico, el 63.6 por ciento (21) es indiferente, el 21.2 por ciento (7) negativa y el 15.2 por ciento (5) tiene una actitud positiva y con respecto a la identificación de la presencia del componente conductual en la actitud del personal de salud frente a la etapa terminal del paciente oncológico, 84.8 por ciento (28) indiferente, el 9.1 por ciento (3) tiene una actitud positiva y el 6.1 por ciento (2) negativa. Conclusiones: un porcentaje considerable de personal de salud tiene una actitud indiferente frente al actuar del paciente terminal; se observa que prima la presencia del componente cognitivo la cual está regido por los conocimientos en el cuidado del paciente terminal. (AU)^iesThe Objective of this study was to determine the attitude of health personnel in front of the terminal stage of cancer patients. Material and Method: study level application, quantitative, descriptive method of cross section. Being a sample of 33 comprised of health personnel working in the area. The technical note was the survey and instrument type rescaled one Likert. Results; regarding the determination of the attitude of health personnel in front of the terminal stage of the cancer patient 100 per cent (33) of respondents, 21.2 per cent (7) has a positive attitude, 60.2 per cent (20) indifferent and 18.2 per cent (6) negative; about the identification of the presence of cognitive component of attitude of health personnel outside the terminal stage of cancer patients, 63.6 per cent (21) has a positive attitude, 30.3 per cent (10) indifferent and 6.1 per cent (2) negative; about the identification of the presence of affective component of attitude of health personnel outside the terminal stage of cancer patients, 63.6 per cent (21) is indifferent, 21.2 per cent (7) negative and 15.2 per cent (5) has positively and with respect to the identification of the presence of behavioral component in the attitude of health personnel in front of the terminal stage of cancer patients, 84.8 per cent (28) indifferent attitude 9.1 per cent (3) has a positive attitude and 6.1 per cent (2) negative. Conclusions: a significant proportion of health personnel has an indifferent attitude to act terminal patient; shows that the presence of cognitive premium component which is governed by the knowledge in the care of terminally ill patients.
